  1. SAN JOSE, Calif.--January 28,1992--Three new 16-bit Ethernet boards, each
  2. with three-in-one Ethernet capabilities, will be unveiled by CNet
  3. Technology during NetWorld '92 in Boston. These new products, the CN210E,
  4. CN650E and the CN850E, are available for immediate shipment.

  6. "The three-in-one boards are the perfect option for today's networking
  7. reseller, " says David Bergener, CNet's product marketing manager, who
  8. continued, "Each board supports both thick and thin as well as 10BaseT
  9. cabling. So a VAR or dealer need only stock any one of CNet's combination
  10. boards to meet every Ethernet requirement."

  12. The new CNet combination boards reduce power consumption, contain fewer
  13. components and require less physical space on the interface board by
  14. incorporating National Semiconductor's 89302 ST-NIC LAN controller.

  16. "Each board is also designed with surface mount technology," Bergener
  17. added, "which ensures outstanding performance and reliability."

  19. The CN650E utilizes programmed I/O memory access; the CN850E uses dual-
  20. port, shared memory access; and the CN210E has bus mastering capabilities.
  21. Each board ships with software drivers for NetWare 286 and 386, LAN
  22. Manager, OS/2 LAN Server, 3 + Open, PC/TCP, PC-NFS, Xenix/Unix as well as
  23. many popular network operating systems.

  25. The CN210E retails for $199; the CN650E and CN850E for $289 each. All
  26. feature CNet's five-year warranty.
